It’s Time to Beat all Odds!

The life of this man teaches me that we can beat the odds and become all that God wants us to be. It’s time to beat the odds. Joseph was one man in the Scriptures who rose above all odds to become all that God put in his heart. His father’s testimony showed that he was hurt sore by the archers. His own brethren hurt him; sold him into slavery, but instead of allowing it to break his spirit, he rose above the pain and hurt and moved on to become all that God put in his heart.

The purpose of the enemy is for you to cast away your confidence. He wants you to think that the word that you received was a lie. The enemy wants you to think that God is not faithful. He wants you to think that God will not keep His word.

You therefore have a responsibility to:

Trust in the faithfulness of God that against all odds, he will watch over His word to perform it. He is not a man that he should lie, nor is He the son of man that He should repent.

Give up excuses: Give up the blame game. The moment you accept excuses you are admitting that you cannot rise.

Forgive quickly and move on quickly: Focus on the big picture. Trust that all things good and bad are working to your good because you love God and are called according His purpose.

Strengthen yourself in the Lord: The focus of the enemy is to break your spirit; don’t allow him. Strengthen yourself and set your face on God as a flint.

You can rise above all odds to become God’s best. You can be His best, and nothing can stop you. Rise like Joseph and beat all odds. The archers may have hit you. They may have hit you with their words and gossips but you can rise above all that. Gird the loins of your mind and do what you have to do. Keep your eyes on the cross and press on towards the mark.
