Our calling as Christians is to rule in life as sons of God. The Scriptures state emphatically that there is no difference between an heir when he is a child and a servant; though he owns all things and a servant has no inheritance.
“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be Lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.” (Galatians 4:1-5 KJV)
Although you are born as an heir, you don’t rule by your birth, but you rule by your maturity and knowledge. As long as you remain a child, you will be subject to instructions and commands just like a servant and never be able to possess what is rightfully yours.
There are certain simple things that can put every child of God in charge in life and make him rule. The heir is born as the possessor and owner of all things but he must be trained and tutored to rule and possess what is his. If the church can rule as we are destined to, then we need five things:
- Tutors
- Governors
- Discipline
- Timing
- Fathers
The heir is able to rule because his father put him under tutors and governors for a time set by the father. No matter how much you are in a hurry to rule, you must remain under your tutors and governors until the set time is over.
We learn to rule by learning to be submitted. The heir is put under governors and tutors till he learns how to submit, and then he is put in charge.
Now, we have been subject to the elements of this world for far too long; in the fullness of time, God has sent His son Jesus Christ to redeem us to rule. We have been redeemed, and we cannot continue to be servants to the world and to sin; we must mature quickly to rule and exercise dominion over the world and flesh.
We need to mature and learn to be disciplined as fast as is possible. It is time to rule and we can rule by the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:17 KJV)
This is the time and the season to rule and have dominion in life. Receive great grace and the gift of righteousness. This is our time to rule.
May the tutors and governor arise to teach and administer! May the sons and daughters be subject to the authority set over them! May the fathers arise to put their children under authority. We need the necessary collaboration between tutors, heirs, and fathers. We may be born with greatness, but that greatness must be nurtured and groomed.
This is the time; may the Lord help us to get ready to rule!
I love you, stay blessed.
