“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.” (Luke 4:18-21 KJV)
Surprisingly, all of the problems in the world can be grouped into six:
1. Poverty:
Since the fall of man poverty and sin have been man’s greatest problems. Many will go to hell because of poverty. Many have so much need for money and wealth that they have no time to prepare to meet God. Look at Africa and third world Asia; even our leaders can’t think right!
2. Brokenheartedness and depression:
Recent studies tell us that one out of every four families is afflicted by some kind of mood disorder or mental disorder. We cannot pretend anymore. It is a real pandemic. I see and meet a lot of broken and discouraged people every time. Brokenness and depression are widespread.
3. Captivity to the power of darkness and to the flesh:
Many people are bound by devils and a lot more are bound by their own flesh and bad habits formed over the years through disobedience to wisdom.
4. Blindness and ignorance:
The Scriptures tell us that blindness and ignorance can destroy in the same way as devils do. For lack of knowledge the people of God perish and are led captive (Hosea 4:6). Listen! Even false prophets prey on silly women laden with lust.
5. Bruises and infirmity:
There are so many sick and bruised, hurt people all around us. There are many people who must be healed and restored to health.
6. Bad seasons and evil days:
Ephesians6:10-18 teaches about an evil day; the Scriptures talk about the day of adversity. There are many who are facing their day of adversity and evil days. Many of them are not prepared for that day at all.
Now, we are called and empowered to;
1. Preach:
Weare called and empowered to inform, inspire and impart. We must teach the nations the whats, the whys, and the hows. Preaching the gospel is the only way by which God can save the world
2. Heal:
We must anoint, touch, and pray over the sick, bruised, infirmed, weak, and
3. Liberate:
We are His agents on earth to liberate the world by truth and authority. We can liberate the world by both teaching the truth and also rebuking the devils to come out of them and let go of them. Cast them out.
The world around us need to be informed, inspired, and imparted. We cannot do this except by the anointing of the Holy Spirit on the body of Christ. We need the anointing to be free from these problems and help others to get out also.
Acts 10:38 teaches that God anointed Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit and power, and he went about doing good; healing all those that were sick and possessed by devils.
In Acts 1:8, we are instructed by the Lord to wait for the Holy Spirit; because we shall receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon us. The baptism of the Holy Spirit releases power. The presence of the Holy Spirit opens the door to the flow of power into our lives.
We cannot wait any more. We must arise and break the hold of darkness over the human race and over our families. This is the time. I am anointed and commissioned for this hour and moment. I cannot wait anymore. I am arising and on my way to serving His purpose for my life. This is the time to arise and serve.
Stay blessed, I love you!
