“Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.” (Mark 5:19 KJV)
Our exhortation today is from the story of a man who was liberated from the influence of a legion of demons. These demons had literally driven him insane and he acted in a way that no man could contain him. The demons had affected his behavoiur so much that he literally left home and lived in tombs.
There are many of us who used to be like that until we had an encounter with the Son of the Living God. We were literally controlled by devils till we had that single encounter with Jesus Christ. Now, the Lord wants us to go and tell our friends and family what He has done for us.
The community we live in must hear our testimony and story. There are many who must receive that same touch and be liberated too. Many are hurting, many are in bondage, many are afflicted and they don’t know where to turn. When you tell your story and share your testimony, two things happen;
- Your friends and family receive faith
- Name of the Lord is glorified
There are many people running around with burdens, as you share your story, the process of change begins.
I became saved because my classmate in high school shared his own experience with me. He shared what he had seen at a prayer meeting and I realised that that is what I needed. I pray for you that as you share your testomony, men will come to the faith.
The most effective way to share your testimony is to start by telling us your name.
Then proceed to tell us what was wrong with you and for how long.
Tell us some of the things you had done to try to solve the problems that did not work.
Go ahead and tell us what you did or what the Lord has done for you and what change you see now.
Whatever it takes, it’s important to tell your own story and testimony.
Today’s Prayer
Dear God,
As I step out today to share my faith, anoint these lips of clay. Give me wisdom and precision of thoughts and speech. Let my hearers gain understanding so that they can believe. Thank You for an answered prayer!
