[James 1:19-20 KJV] “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God”.
“We have been born again by the word of truth according to the will of God to be the first fruits of all His creatures” (See James 1:18). We are God’s first fruits hence we need to reflect His nature.
The 3 rules that must govern your life to work the righteousness of God are be;
- Swift to hear
- Slow to speak
- Slow to wrath
Indeed if a man does not err in word, the same is perfect. We must be disciplined to make sure that we are not rush with words. Words are powerful and once thrown out, there cannot be retrieved. The things we say fill our lives. We must therefore be careful of what we say.
The Bible tells us that nothing is as difficult as taming your own tongue but nothing is as profitable as taming your tongue. I pray that the Lord shall help us to bridle our tongue.
May you never be a victim of your own tongue! May the Lord grace us to walk in this revelation!
I pray that we shall be able to respect these three rules. We will do well and work the righteousness of God. May you never lag behind. May you be willing to walk in this new light like never before. Being a little controlled will help. You can, so try!
I love you!
