[Acts 10:1-8; 10:44-46 KJV] “There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do. And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually; And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.
While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which bbibleelieved were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?”
There are times when our seeds are unable to yield in their strength because our heavens are shut, but I speak over your life that the heavens be opened over you. May your Heaven that is shut be opened! May the Lord help us to take the steps that will unlock the heaven over us!
The story of Cornelius teaches us how to unlock and open the heavens. This man Cornelius was a devout man that feared God with his household. This was a soldier who feared God. Today we shall discuss four virtues that open the heavens and command the attention of God.
The first virtue that opens heaven and unlocks the supernatural is the fear of the Lord:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Those who fear begin to live by wisdom. Those who fear the Lord make wise choices and procure the grace of God. The favour of God rests upon those who fear Him and live devout lives. I am rest assured that heaven will open over us because we fear the Lord. May the Lord continue to help you to fear Him! This is a virtue that will unlock the heavens and releases the supernatural.
I am sure the heavens will be opened because you will not be weary in well doing:
Bible says if we do not become weary in well doing, we shall reap in due season. The continual giving and alms of Cornelius became a memorial before God. Your giving and alms will become a memorial before God. The heavens will be opened over you.
The third virtue that opens heaven is praying without ceasing:
We ought to pray always and not to faint. Your heaven will stay open as long as your prayers keep ascending. Your prayer will move God to open the heavens to your advantage. Listen! You will live under open heavens from this moment forward! May you never lack the backing and favour of heaven!
Fourthly, your honour for the servant of God will open heaven:
Honour the servant and stay under the atmosphere of the word, with hunger. As they listened to the word as Apostle Peter kept speaking, heaven opened for an outpouring. You will experience God now more than ever before. You are set for an open heaven.
Nothing will stop your heaven from opening!
Stay blessed, I love you!
