[1 Thessalonians 5:14, 23 KJV] “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”.
Every person on Earth today must understand that we are created in the image and the likeness of God to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth, and subdue it and have dominion over every creeping thing. We were intensionally and purposefully created (See Genesis 1:26-29)
Every part of you was purposefully created by the Creator to serve a purpose; you have three main parts: the spirit, the soul, and the body: In Daniel 7:15, we understand that the spirit lives in the midst of the body. The Gospels also clearly shows that the soul is different from the body.
Your senses offers the entry points or gates to your soul and spirit. This is where there are the openings of your body which offer entry into the body. Your senses are the input devices to the soul and spirit and body. Your eyes, ears, tongue, nose, and skin are the main gateways into the soul and spirit.
You guard your heart with all diligence by guarding your senses from picking the wrong information. Be careful what you hear and how you hear it. May the Lord help us to guard our spiritual portals with sobriety and vigilance! May the Lord become your shelter from the stormy blast!
