[Ephesians 4:10-16 KJV] “He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love”.
There is no doubt that we are all called and graced for the building of the kingdom and body of Christ on earth. None of us is without grace and a calling. Some are called to be apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors. We have all been called and graced to contribute to the building of the kingdom. We are called for the building and growth of the body of Christ.
The Bible tells us that, he that ascended is the same that descend that he may fill all things; he gave gifts unto men for;
- The perfecting of the saints
- The work of ministry
- The edifying of the body of Christ
Your healing, deliverance, marriage, business success, building project must directly impact on this agenda. Don’t seek a girl when you don’t know how to lead a sister to work for God. We must be committed to perfecting the saints, working in ministry, and edifying the body of Christ.
Whatever we do or say or ascent to, our giftings and callings must contribute to this three-fold purpose. We must be willing to work in the ministry, edify the body of Christ and perfect the saints till Christ fills all things. The Bible says every joint must supply to the growth of the body. We are the members and must supply to the growth of the body.
God wants all of us to come to the unity of the faith and of knowledge. We must believe the same things and know the same things, as unto a perfect man. Our calling is to help build the body of Christ, our giftings are to enable us do it effectively. May the Lord empower you to build along with your pastor! May all of us release our gifts to help in building the great house. Everyone is anointed to build and edify another.
