[Exodus 17:8-16 KJV] “Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand. So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword. And the Lord said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah–nissi: For he said, Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation”.
Many of God’s people are in the wilderness of life – between the Red Sea and the River Jordan. There are many in the valley of decision, being buffeted by the enemy, stranded and sobbing in the wilderness and dry places of life. But the Lord has sent us to go to their rescue. There is an enemy out there against the people of God and the generations of men, and we have a calling to go in and rescue them.
Now I want to give you the following prophetic assurances;
I will be on the hill with the rod of God in my hands:
We are on the hilltop to hold up the rod of the Lord. The least we can do is stand with them in prayer. Yeah! We must stand with and by them. The rod of God is lifted and you can win as long as you are fighting.
Please, fight as galant men and women:
No retreat, no surrender. The battle may be tough but we have your back. Just fight and fight gallantly. We must send fighting men into the valley of decision. We must have men and women out there serving in missions and ministries. There must be men we have sent out to fight the enemy. The enemy cannot take the multitudes hostage. Quit you as men; fight for your wives and children, fight for your brothers and sisters, fight for the weak and the vulnerable; please fight. Fight for that business; my hands are up in prayer; fight!
In any case, according to His word, we will build an altar to tell the story:
We must build altars that tell the story of our victories: soon we will build an altar for every victory and prophecy. Indeed, from today, the Lord will fight the enemy until, his head cannot be lifted anymore. You will win and win. The altar, Jehovah Nissi, shall speak for you. Your adversary shall be overpowered.
We will make impact in every valley and in every place where the action is. Nothing can stop you. Go labour on; spend and be spent! This is the way the Master wants it, and that is the way in which we shall go!
