[Matthew 28:18-20 KJV] “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen”.
The mandate of the church is to teach the world and the nations to do all that we have been taught to do. This is our mandate; nothing more, nothing less. But you cannot teach what you don’t know. You can only teach what you know. So we come to church not just to learn, but to learn to do. Doing is the most important part of our learning. It is the doer that is blessed and not the hearer.
The church must be committed to obey and to teach the nations the things that we have been commanded to observe.
The simple steps to live up to this responsibility are to;
Choose your teacher carefully:
Be discreet and careful as you choose what you read and listen to. We live in an information and digital age. There is an avalanche of information confronting and bombarding you daily; choose your source careful. You must be selective about what you choose to read. You cannot listen to the scornful, or to sinners and to the ungodly; because blessed is the man who meditate of the word of God, day and night.
Try to get the instruction:
Every great teacher instructs, demonstrates, and encourages practice. Whenever you encounter a teacher, try to get the instruction. This is the first step to get the most out of what you read and hear. When you are reading, read what is written carefully and ask intelligent questions. What is the author trying to communicate. The eunuch from Ethiopia asked “is he speaking about himself or of another?” You must be able to discern what prophetic action is required of you. The eununch was trying to get the instruction.
Watch the demonstration:
Every good teachers tries to demonstrate what they are teaching, watch the demonstration intently. It is easy to pratice when you have seen the example. Apostle paul said “imitate me as I imitate Christ“. Your key to success is following the demonstration.
Practice! Practice!! Practice!!!:
They say practice makes perfect. You can live up to your responsibility when you practice to perfection.
Stay blessed, I love you!
