[Psalm 38:6-15 KJV] “I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. [7] For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease : and there is no soundness in my flesh. [8] I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart. [9] Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. [10] My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me. [11] My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off. [12] They also that seek after my life lay snares for me : and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long. [13] But I, as a deaf man , heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth. [14] Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs. There is no greater loneliness than to be surrounded by a crowd that has been around you for years, and yet you cannot find joy in any of them; when you cannot share your sorrows with anyone, and it is as though there is no one who truly cares.
Depression
For me, depression is a normal occurence of everyday living, but some are not strong enough to handle their seasons of pressure.
The greatest part of being lonely and depressed is when there is none among your friends, and family members who seem to understand you. There are times when the pain is so biting; that moment when your friends and family members stand afar and even judge you. There is no deeper loneliness than when none of the people you trusted in your good times seem to stand with you in the moments of joy or in your pain.

It is part of human nature that we want to find friends and near kins who gather to celebrate with us when we are happy; and mourn with us when we are sorrowing. “Woe is he who falls when he is alone”.
I don’t know what may be going on in your life now, but we have a high priest, the Christ who can relate with every situation in which we find ourselves because He has been there before.
[Matthew 26:36-46 KJV] “Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. [37] And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. [38] Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. [39] And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt . [40] And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? [41] Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. [42] He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. [43] And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. [44] And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. [45] Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. [46] Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me”.
