Many Christians fail because they do not have a sense of agency, they are waiting on God to act when God has been waiting on them all this while. The outcomes in life are determined by our choices and actions and not necessarily on God or others.
[Hebrews 4:1-4 KJV] “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. [2] For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it . [3] For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. [4] For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
The sense of agency (SA), or sense of control, is the subjective awareness of initiating, executing, and controlling one’s own volitional actions in the world. It is the pre-reflective awareness or implicit sense that you are the one executing a bodily movement or thinking a thought.
It is important to understand that the outcome of our lives is determined by the pre-reflective awareness or implicit sense that you are the one who is executing bodily movements and thinking thoughts. What you think and do with the providence of God is key and important.
When we wake up in the morning, the sun rises and shines, but what you do with the sunlight is your choice. Many Christians fail because they are too laid back. They do not take action. But you are the principal actor and determinant of the outcome of your life.
The Bible teaches us that the same gospel was preached to the people of old as was preached to us; but to many of them, it did not profit them because they did not mix it with faith. Your profit is determined by what you do with what is delivered to you.
In the parable of talents, the nobleman gave the money and went on his journey straightaway. Each of the servants had to act on his pre-reflective awareness that nothing will move until you move it. You are a divine agent appointed to rule and effect divine change.
Many Christians fail because they are waiting on God to do things, while God is waiting on them. Don’t wait on God to cast devils when He has empowered you to thread upon them. Arise and act; God is waiting on you.
The secret to acting for success begins with;
Desire:
You should have a personal desire for results. You must have a strong personal desire to rise to the next level. Desire is the first step to the next level.
Pray:
The second step towards success is effective praying. Those who pray are admitting that all things depend on divine providence, but it does not matter how much God is willing to help. You must have a desire to see change and pray to show your commitment. What you say has a way of impacting your life. Therefore say the right things.
Believe:
To pray without believing is to just speak to the air. Your prayer must be based on faith, faith must drive all your supplication.
Receive:
Those who pray, receive answers. Your answers are coming to you now. Nothing shall steal your breakthrough. You will possess your answers. You will win the battle. Trust the Lord and watch, because the change is coming.
You cannot leave your life to chance. You cannot wait for everything to happen for you. You must take responsibility and act on your faith. The Lord is ready to turn the tables around, and He is about to favour your course.
Be blessed, I love you!
