[John 4:36 KJV] “And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together”.
The harvest is all about souls and the salvation of men. One of the greatest evangelist of all time is Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke, who in a span of 36 years, received 78 million documented decisions for Christ making 7000 decisions per day. The founder of Christ for all Nations is a great inspiration for us in contemporary history. I believe that it is important to emphasize that the harvest is all about souls and the salvation of souls.
The field of souls is white and ready to be harvested. God is waiting on us to step in and save it from decadence.
If souls will be saved, then we must;
Preach the gospel:
The gospel is the power of God to save (Romans 1:16). It is the power of God to save to those who believe. This is why we must preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
An unpreached gospel is no gospel at all (1 Corinthians 1:18, 21). God saves the world by the preaching of the gospel. The preaching of the cross is the dynamo that generates the power that saves the world.
Admit, believe and confess the gospel:
To admit, believe, and confess your faith are the three simple steps to step out of death and bondage into a life of freedom and peace (Romans 10:9-13). There can never be salvation without the work of faith and confession. We are saved by faith through grace. We must admit that we have need of a savior, and we must believe that Jesus is that savior.
The demonstration of the spirit and of power must accompany the preaching of the gospel:
The manifestation of signs and wonders is the anchor of faith. The demonstration of the Spirit and power gives foundation, a solid foundation to our faith ( 1 Corinthians 2:1-5)
Every one of us must continue in the faith:
Salvation does not end at believing; you must connect and continue (Acts 14:22-24). It is not enough to believe and backslide. We must believe and continue in the faith. That is how we enter the kingdom.
The harvest is all about souls and soul winning. Our churches shall never be empty. The Lord shall fill them with souls. Souls seeking freedom from bondage.
