We know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Very often, we misconstrue faith to mean hoping that something good would happen. Indeed, faith does not connote the possible happening of good, but the possibility of what God has said happening. So then what you believe can happen depends on what you heard from the word of God.
[Romans 10:17 KJV] “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”.
When you hear the wrong things, you believe the wrong things, when you hear the right things, you believe the right things. What you hear, will determine what you believe and expect to happen. Therefore, two things, that have a serious impact on your life and destiny are the music you soak in and the movies you watch. The music and movies you watch determine and form the basis of your faith.
There is a raging battle against the church and this generation. The world is determined to infiltrate and influence our faith and conduct. The world is aggressively pursuing the church and is determined to mock our faith and confession. They have started a scheme to push secular and carnal music and movies down the throat of the naive and uneducated church.
Many of our folks and young ones have become possessed by devils through books, music, and movies. Many young people are struggling to walk this walk of faith because of the kind of music they listen to and the movies they watch.
If the ministering of a minstrel can cause the hand of God to come upon a prophet, then the ministry of an evil or secular singer can cause devils to possess a listener. The prophet requested the ministry of a minstrel to make the hand of the Lord come upon him.
[2 Kings 3:15 KJV] “But see now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him”.
If Jacob could make the flock give birth to a particular colour by causing them to watch a piece of stick with that same colour, then watching the wrong kinds of movies will lead to wrong and erred actions. The things we watch have a way of influencing us either positively or negatively.
[Genesis 31:10-13 KJV] “And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled. [11] And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying , Jacob: And I said, Here am I. [12] And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. [13] I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred”.
