[1 Corinthians 12:11-14 KJV] “But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. [12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. [13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. [14] For the body is not one member, but many”.
None of us have control over what kind of gift or grace God gives us. It is the Holy Spirit Who divides to every man severally as He wills. He gives every man as He, the Spirit, desires. He will give you according to His purpose and desire.
In order to recieve and walk in the gifts and graces or manifestations of the Spirit as it is given to you, there are simple tips you must observe. If you really want to recieve and use the best gift, then;
1. See yourself as a member of a body:
We are all members of one body and not divided. You can walk in the fullness of the Spirit when you walk as a member of a body and not as a body by yourself.
2. Drink into the Spirit, that one spirit, and be filled:
Open up and be filled with the Holy Spirit. He is the giver of the gifts, all of the gifts.
3. Stir up the gifts which is in thee, when I laid hands on you:
Don’t leave any gift to lay dormant in you. Stir up the gift in you. Whenever hands are laid on you, gifts are deposited, stir up that gift in you.
4. Grieve not the Holy Spirit, be obedient to His voice:
You must not grieve the Holy Spirit. You must love and obey the Holy Spirit. Grieve not the Holy Spirit.
5. Covet the best gift but start with speaking in tongues and advance to the best gifts:
You must covet the best gift but you must start with speaking, in tongues, then speak by inspiration, and move on as God graces you.
You will recieve and walk in the best gift. Whatever gift you recieve is the best for you in the wisdom of God. You will not have a gift that will tear you apart. The Lord will give you what is best for you. Be blessed!
