[Proverbs 30:11-14,17 KJV] “There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. [12] There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. [13] There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. [14] There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. [17] The eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it“.
Among every people, there are five different generations of men;
There is a generation that curseth their fathers, and do not bless their mothers. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet are not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. Then there is also the generation that are subject to their tutors and end up ruling.
[Galatians 4:1-3 KJV] “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; [2] But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. [3] Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:”
It is important to remember that, “the eye that mocketh at his father, and despiseth to obey his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it”. (Proverbs 30:17 KJV)
We are not part of the generation that curses their fathers and mothers, we are not the generation that is pure in our eyes. We are not the generation with lofty and lifted eyes. Neither are we the generation that has teeth as swords and devour the poor; we are the Emerging Generation! Shout alleluia!
We are the generation in training, we take inspiration from Daniel and his friends. When we leave home and go to school or to town;
- We will not defile ourselves with the king’s meat and wine
- We will be subject to our tutors
- We will take their teachings serious
- We will keep the right company
We are the emerging generation and nothing will make us fail. We are in training, anointed and connected. We will not miss out on what God is doing. We are blessed and charged with grace and power to touch our world. We are the people who connect solutions to challenges. We are the emerging generation, the world should watch out for us!
