[Psalms 51:10‭-‬13 KJV] “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. [11]  Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. [12]  Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. [13]  Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee”.

Every one of us is called to be a witness who is re-presenting Christ to the world. We are called to reach and teach the world to know Christ and make Him known. This is the core mandate of the church, and we are to go into the world and make disciples of the nations.

[2 Corinthians 5:14‭-‬15 KJV] “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: [15]  And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again’.

Everything we have and are, are tools and resources to enable us to reach and teach the nations. Everything, from our college degrees, to our marriages, children, good jobs, money, wealth, health, opportunities, and appointments; Everything we have is meant to resource us to reach and teach the nations. Our time, wealth and health must translate into being able to reach and teach the nations.

This exhortation, the cry for revival, is needed because many of us re-presenting Christ to our world, sometimes, drift away from the mold; and confuse the world. Indeed, until our deeds match our words, our world will be confusing. The cry for revival is therefore a six point prayer message meant to help us maintain the fire of God on the altar of our hearts.

There are six things we need in order to revive the fire of God. These six things are: a clean heart, the right spirit, the presence of God, the Holy Spirit, the joy of salvation, and the upholding of a free spirit.

Our prayer, as witnesses and evangelists, must be a cry for revival. Cold hearts cannot set a cold and freezing world on fire. Our heart must be filled with an earnest craving for fresh fire on the altars. We must therefore pray until the Lord Himself will do the following for us;

1. Create in us a clean heart:

Only a clean heart can live a clean life. We need a clean heart to function right. The Bible says, “make the tree good and its fruits shall be good”.

2. Renew in us a right spirit:

Oh yes! There are times when the dust of the world stains our garments. There are times when the dust of the world; the cares, the lusts and cravings, the anxiety, the decietfulness of riches, and the bitterness resulting from how people misuse us; begin to collect on our faith and on our hearts. To be an effective evangelist, pray that the Lord shall renew a right spirit within you. As we go about the business of life, the dust of the world collects on our faith and spirit.

3. Cast us not away from His presence:

There are times when we don’t just get stained, but we begin to stink because of sin, indulgence, greed, carnality. We begin to love the world and become enemies with God. These are times when you begin to stink. This is why it is important to pray that the Lord will never cast you out of His presence. May the presence of the Lord be with us. May His blood wash and make us whole. Amen!

4. Take not His Holy Spirit from us:

May you never lose the anointing! May the Spirit of the Lord never be lifted from us. As we gather, may His spirit dwell among us and in us. Always, pray that Holy Spirit of the Lord will never depart from you. Grieve not the Holy Spirit.

6. Restore unto us the joy of salavation:

Hallelujah! The Joy of the Lord is our strength. I pray for a restoration of the joy of His salvation. May you never lose your joy or excitement. Remember that loss of joy is a sign of backsliding. May the Lord restore to all of us the joy we felt when we got saved. Your bones will not dry up because of loss of joy, Amen!

1. Uphold you with His free Spirit:

Have you realize that there are times when you get tired and feel like giving up? Do you realize that there are times when you don’t feel yourself anymore? Let us always pray that Lord will uphold or sustain us with His free Spirit. May His mighty arm be with and keep each of us from falling, in the name of Jesus Christ! May the Good Lord liberate your spirit to function. May the Lord be there to revive you when you feel hurt and bound. When you feel like giving up, may the free spirit of the Lord uphold you.

These should be the heart cry of a witness of the goodness of the Lord. Recieve help and grace and truth. Amen!

I love you;

Noah Simpe Bediako
