[1 Timothy 2:1-15 KJV] “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; [2] For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty”.

[3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; [4] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

[5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; [6] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

[7] Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

[8] I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

[9] In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; [10] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

[11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. [12] But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. [13] For Adam was first formed, then Eve. [14] And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

[15] Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety”.

We know that the mystery of the kingdom is in the mystery of the seed. The potential of every kingdom is in the potential of its seed.

It is important to note that a seed, in this context, represent words, people, and offerings. The Bible reveals in the Gospels that words are seeds, people are seeds, and money is also a seed. Indeed, our Lord Jesus Christ is the seed of the kingdom of God. He is the word of the kingdom, He is a person, and He is God’s offering for sin.

The Bible tells us that there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, to be testified or preached in due season.

Indeed, the man Jesus Christ gave Himself as a ransom for us to be saved and to live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty; and that we shall testify and tell others about His finished work. The will of God is for all men to be saved.

This hope to live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty may remain a mirage if we do not pray for all men, preach the sacrifice of Christ Jesus, dress well to reflect our faith and calling, learn in silence and subjection, and continue steadfastly in the faith, charity, holiness, and sobriety.

Therefore, the apostle teaches that he desires that men everywhere;

  1. Pray lifting holy hands without wrath or doubting.
  2. Testify of the the finished work of Christ on the cross and the benefits accruing to all men
  3. Brand/dress as people who profess godliness with good works
  4. Learn in silence and subjection
  5. Continue in faith, love, holiness, and sobriety

This is the only way to live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

I pray that you won’t miss this moment. I pray that the Lord will give us what it takes to live godly and honestly in this days. Stay blessed!

I love you;
