1. Many don’t balance their lives;
We are souls, have a spirits, and live in bodies. It is important to balance your life on the five dimensions of life: spirit, soul, body, work, and network. Many burn out because they do not balance their lives.
2. Many are befriending their cups;
Many people burn out because they pour out so much of their lives into people who can only recieve little. They pour out so much, but recieve back so little, though the people have given their all. “Iron must sharpen iron”. There is nothing as frustrating as pouring yourself into people who have space for so little.
3. Many allow in little foxes when their grapes are tender:
You must catch the little foxes that destroy the tender grapes while the vine has tender grapes.
4. Many are forcing their friendships;
They “… awaken love before love so desires”. When you are doing all you can to make people love you, you are forcing love. Don’t awaken love until it so wishes, or you will burn out. Love is a mystery, so if people don’t like you don’t force them.
5. Many keep their friendships for a reason when the season is over:
There is a popular saying that people come into our lives for a reason or for a season. Indeed, don’t keep any person for reason when the season is over. You will burn out if you do so.
6. Many keep acting as the thermometer when hey aught to at as the thermostat:
People who gauge their own progress by that of others are acting like a thermometer. You must set the temperature in your room and regulate it. Don’t follow cheaply, set the standards and keep them; or else you get burnt out.
7. Many keep other people’s vines, and never their’s:
There is no greater disaster than to focus on helping others, to your own neglect. I almost burned out as a pastor because I was trying to take care of the burden and needs of the church to the neglect of myself. Please, don’t do that.
8. Many keep on working without taking a break:
Don’t work without taking a break. You must find time to rest when you work hard. Resting and relaxing is also spiritual.
Don’t get burned out! Keep the fire burning, we need you alive. Stay blessed!
I love you;
