[Judges 6:12-16 KJV] “And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. [13] And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. [14] And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee? “
[15] “And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house. [16] And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man”.
(Ref: Judges 6:1-17)
Sometimes, a man could suffer so much under the burden of the wicked that he begins to lose hope in the presence of God and His ability to save. One day, Gideon came to such a place; he began to question the testimony of angels. What he did not know was that miracles don’t just happens. Churches don’t just grow; businesses don’t just thrive; it takes work to make it work. We must therefore be willing to arise and work it. Most often, while you are waiting on God to act, He is also waiting on you to arise and go in your might. Gideon was waiting on God when God was waiting on him to arise and smite Midian as one man.
Miracles don’t just happen, business don’t just thrive, churches don’t just grow, people arise to fight the good fight of faith to make them work. Many of us are too laid back to make any miracles happen. Israel was looking for the miracles that their fathers told them about, but what they were missing is that those miracles happened because Abraham acted, Moses acted, Joshua acted, Noah acted, etc.
This church shall grow, the business shall thrive, the miracles will happen when someone arises to act in his or her might. You must arise, you can’t just sit and watch, hoping things will happen. Many things don’t just happen, people make it happen. Each of us must arise to contribute our little. We must contribute what we can in our might.
The simple truth to triumph over adversity and challenges in life and rise to dominion and rulership is to;
[Proverbs 3:5-12 KJV]
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding“.
[6] “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”.
[7] “Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. [8] It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones”.
[9] “Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: [10] So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine”.
[11] “My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord ; neither be weary of his correction: [12] For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth”.
1. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; lean not on your own understanding.
2. Acknowledge the Lord in all your ways; and he shall direct your path. Acknowledge the Lord by praying without ceasing.
3. Be not wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
4. Honour the Lord with your substance; When you honour the Lord with your substance, He will bless your barns and vats with increase.
5. Despise not the chastening of the Lord; As you try to do your part, you may err but you must not run away from the presence, you must endure the chastening of the Lord.
[1 Timothy 4:13-16 KJV] “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. [14] Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery”.
[15] “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. [16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee”.
5. Give thyself to reading, exhortation, and to doctrine; Give thyself wholly to these things as you fight through life.
Miracles don’t just happen, people arise to work it and things begin to happen. We can make things happen. We can build the church, the business, the dream; just remember that nothing just happens, men make it happen. Be blessed!
