Putting Satan Where He Belongs

The devil belongs to only one place in the church; That is, under our feet. The mystery, however, remains that only God can put him where he belongs; but whether God will move in to do that or not depends on us and not on God.

[Romans 16:17-20 KJV] “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. [18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. [19] For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. [20] And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen”.

The Bible tells us to mark them that causes divisions among us contrary to the doctrine which we have learned, and to avoid them. In fact, as we obey the voice of God, He shall, in due season, subdue Satan under our feet. The devil always has the upper hand when we are divided and fighting. God moves in swiftly when we are standing united and undivided. As such, any person who tries to divide the church is an agent of darkness working for the devil.

If we are truly committed to putting the devil where he belongs (under our feet) then we should be careful about people who use fair speeches and nice words to deceive the simple or shallow-minded. It is important to be wise unto that which is simple and good. The Lord wants us to rule and have dominion. Division and bickering makes weakens our front. We need the heart, and voice, and language of one man.

It is important for us to work toward unity and obedience. The devil belongs under our feet, we must strive to put him there. Let us arise in unity. A kingdom divided against itself shall not stand. We must be united if we want to stand firm and strong. We must not allow the enemy to divided and rule us. We must be ready to work hard to subdue him. He belongs under our feet.
