Understanding Spiritual Marriage

Motivation:
I have been trying to understand the whole teaching and concept of spiritual marriage and how it affects the victims. In my study I found one scripture that is quiet close and revealing. What then is spiritual marriage? What are the effects of such marriages on the human partner.

Discussion:
Spiritual marriage is technically the marital or sexual union between a spirit and a mortal man.

The Bible teaches that in the early days, the sons of God saw the daughters of men and saw that they were beautiful, then they took wives for themselves and married them. This is the closest revelation from scripture about spiritual marriage. It gives us an understanding that angels, demons or spirits could marry and reproduce with women.

We can understand that when women are exposed, demonic spirits can see and marry them. Many of the demonic possessions that have connection with warped sexual habits are contamination that result from a sexual encounters with a possessed personality, or from exposing your nakedness in public.

Extra biblical content suggest that there are times when these marriages are contracted through orgies and initiation parties. There are times when people solicit the help of guardian spirits. There spirits tend to become spirit husbands or spirit wives. They marry their clients and offer them protection.

It is important to state that, there is a danger in exposing yourself to spirit beings in a sexual way. There is a danger in allowing a fetish to make incisions on you, especially in your pubic areas or on your breasts or hips. These turns out to be covenants with demonic spirits that tends to control your sexuality and relationships.

These spirit husbands and wives tends to be very jealous and could end up even killing suitors that come around the person. At least, they drive possible suitors away.

May the Lord deliver us from every contamination. May your spirit be free from pollutions. I pray that you see the deliverance of the Lord and enjoy marital bliss. May you receive the strength to walk in sexual purity and enjoy fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
