Motivation
Beware of a strange woman; she is a deep ditch and a narrow pit. The way to her house is the way to hell, her house is a graveyard and many mighty men have been buried there. The wise can escape but a fool is taken by her as an easy prey.
Discussion
Proverbs 7 teaches us very clearly how a strange woman looks like, and how to escape her tentacles. The preacher in this scripture reveals that;
- She dresses in the attire of a harlot and steps out at night
- She hardly stays home, she lurks in the street corners
- She is subtle at heart and flatters with her lips
- She is loud, and speaks with impudence
- She is engaged, yet she is ready to sleep with another man.
- She talks and flirts with words and suggestive gestures in public
- She spends fortunes on spices, oils and accessories just to look sexy and seductive.
The Bible tells us that her prey are usually young men who are destitute of counsel and wisdom. The only secret to escape her tentacles is to heed the counsel and instruction of your father.
