Proverbs 21:21 teaches that “He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour”. In other words, those who seek righteousness, loyalty and kindness shall find life, righteousness, and honour.
[Matthew 6:31-34 KJV] “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? [32] (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. [33] But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. [34] Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof”.
Discussion
How then do you seek the kingdom and righteousness of God? The Bible tells us the kingdom of God does not come with observation (See Luke 17:20). So, if the kingdom does not come with observation, then how can we seek it? We can seek the kingdom and righteousness of God from the following;
1. Those who have found the kingdom:
You learn from those who are living in righteousness, and yet have peace, joy in the Holy Ghost, power, and can cast out devils by the Holy Ghost and by the finger of God.
[Romans 14:17 KJV] “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost”.
[Luke 11:30 KJV] “For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation”.
[Matthew 12:18 KJV] “Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles”.
2. From the Bible:
You can seek the kingdom by being led by the compass — the book, the guide.
3. From the Spirit:
Through prayer and quiet times.
[Jeremiah 33:3 KJV] “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”.
These are three simple steps to seeking the kingdom and righteousness of God; from those who have found it, from the compass, and from His Spirit, and follow what you are pointed to.
Stay blessed; I love you!
