I want to talk to you today about studying to show yourself approved unto God, as a workman who needs not be ashamed. We are called to be an effective lifeline to others who need to access the same grace we have found by faith.
Text
[2 Timothy 2:15 KJV] “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”.

There are many out there who need to connect to the grace we have found. The only hope for this generation to ever find this grace is you. You are that lifeline, you must bridge the gap to connect others to the same grace, and you can only become effective in doing this by studying.
You can give only what you have, and what you have is what you have received. You receive the word of truth through hearing by the word, but you also receive the word of truth through studying the Bible and other written literature from seasoned men and women with higher grace.
I believe that you must give yourself to reading and to doctrine. You must study to show that you qualify to be an effective lifeline to others who must connect to the same grace. Everyone of us must be an effective lifeline to connect others. You must be an effective witness to share your faith, testimony and the gospel with others. You must therefore work effectively to share the truth with many people around you.
This study is calling on us to study and to effectively present the gospel and our faith to others. The simple steps to effective study are as follow;
1. Get a place and a time for daily or weekly study:
I recommend that for 9 to 5 workmen, spend your Saturday and Sunday afternoons in effective Bible study. You may read your devotionals on the week day morning but study the Bible on Saturday and Sunday afternoons for deeper depth.
2. Get helpful materials for your study:
You’ll need a Bible, notebook, pen, Bible commentary, etc.
3. Determine what type of study to engage in:
Topical, textual, character, or book study. You must always try to answer the questions; What is the text saying? Why is the text saying that? How does what this text is saying apply to everday life? When can this truth be applied? Who is the text admonishing?
I pray that as you sit down to study, you will step into empowering revelations and grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Be blessed; I love you!
