I want to exhort you on the need to make God your source and all other persons or things your channel. You never lose that way.
Text
[Philippians 4:15-20 KJV] “Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. [16] For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. [17] Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. [18] But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. [19] But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. [20] Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen“.
Discussion
If God is your source, He will connect you to various channels. People change and things changes, but God remains the same. He changes not!
If God is your source, when one channel messes up, He creates another. He is the God that makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in a desert. When God is your source, you don’t run out of supply. He supplies all of your needs according to His riches in glory.
Many are despaired and discouraged because they made people and things their sources. If God is your source, you will not be afraid of what people or things will do. Let us learn to make God our source and all others channels of supply. When God is your source of joy, then when one people hurts you, you look forward to God connecting you to another. You don’t kill yourself over who wants to help or not.
You will be disappointed when you make a channel your source. My business or career is not the source of my wealth. God is my source and my business is one of the numerous channels of supply. I look up to God for supply, that is why I will not kill myself over business deals and career opportunities. If it is the will and the channel God has chosen to use, then it will all work out well. I will, however, be very diligent in taking care of all the channels that God connects me to. I don’t burn bridges because I was connected to a new source of supply. I take care of all doors.
I pray that in this season and time, God will connect you to important and effective channels of supply. I pray that you will always recognize Him as your only source and see all channels as channel. I pray that you will not make a god out of any channel. He will make a way for you, even where there seems to be no way. Let us trust Him and see His goodness in the land of the living.
Stay blessed; I love you!
