We know that pride comes before a fall, that is why you must be sober. often, people fall so low into what may be considered as the pit of hell because they hold on to exaggerated opinion of themselves. They think too highly of themselves until they become dissatisfied with what God is doing in their lives.
[Isaiah 14:12-15 KJV] “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit”.
This is the temptation that led to the rebellion of Lucifer. He was disillusioned into thinking that he could set his throne above the Most High. He was deceived by the great powers, skills, and beauty that the Lord had deposited in him. What he did not realize was the fact that all his power, grace and beauty were divine deposits. He forgot that he could sing because God gave him the ability to sing. He was misled by the great deposit of power he had received.
Most often than not many of God’s children are deceived by what they have. Many of us are misled by what we have and get lifted by pride. As a result, many of us fall so low that we are not even able to rise again.
I speak over your life, and curse every spirit of disillusionment; I curse the spirits of deception; I prophesy humility, integrity, and loyalty over you. May you never be tempted to lift your heel against the hand that helped you up because now you are up. May the Lord continue to graciously help us to remain submitted to the guides of our youth.
May Jehovah help every one of us to continue to honour fathers as fathers, mothers as mothers, and lords as lords. May we have the humility of mind and the perfect heart to continue to serve and follow in humility and integrity.
You will not be trapped by the Spirit of discontentment and covetousness. You shall not seek your own and be selfish. You shall be submitted and serve the hand that lifted you up. You shall not drift from this great grace.
Often, people are lifted up with pride because of familiarity. They analyze yesterday’s gesture of help they received, with today’s capacity. They forget that they needed that glass of water to survive. They think things would have happened for them anyway. They are forgetful and seem not to remember that it is easy to find a fanbase when you are already rising, but it takes great faith and love for a man or woman to stoop low and come down (to the miry clay that sought to bury you) to lift you up.
It is time to honour men who chose to help when there was nothing to be gained or be proud of. Don’t let your present comfort and prosperity make you intolerant towards the inconvenience that submitting brings. You shall not fall. I speak that the Lord will help you to walk in grace and in the paths of righteousness.
Stay blessed, I love you!
