If there is any reason why God has left us a remnant and not given up on us, it’s because to God, every life is an unfolding story.
[Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV] “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness”.
He is a God of a second chance because every life is an unfolding story, that is why He does not give up on you. The long-suffering of God is because to him, every life is an unfolding story of His glory and excellence.
We all know that there were times when we knew that there was no reason for God to have favoured us. We know that there were times when we blew it big time, but the mercies of God found us. God has given each of us many chances to repent because He knows that every life is an unfolding story. He knows that some of the murderers of today will be the preachers of tomorrow.
Apostle Paul said the Lord showed him mercies as an example.
[1 Timothy 1:15-16 KJV] “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting”.
May the new mercies of the Lord find you! May He have mercy on you! Indeed, the Lord shall favour and show you grace.
Both Roman 2 and Roman 9 expounds on why the Lord shows long-suffering towards all men, even to those fitted for wrath. The Bible teaches us that the long-suffering of the Lord is for our repentance and change.
You can, however, metamorphose into perfection by the following keys;
- Keep seeing and reading the visions written on the walls and on table
- Keep breaking barriers and overcoming obstacles
- Keep forgetting the things that are behind and
- Keep reaching for higher heights
These are the four simple secrets to make the most of God’s grace and long-suffering.
