I want to exhort you today on pulling down strongholds.
[2 Corinthians 10:3-5 KJV] “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”
We know that though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. This suggests that we are all up against something that is higher than flesh and blood. We are wrestling with principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places, serpents, and scorpions. The Bible does not mince words on this (See Ephesians 6: 10-18). The outcomes of our lives is always a result of battles that are fought and won in the realms of the spirit.
These higher powers in the dark realms bound us by taking advantage of the presences of strongholds in our lives and capitalising on our vulnerabilities. They control us by taking advantage of our habitual thought patterns. Strongholds are anything that has a strong hold on us or anyone. They comprise of;
- Our imagination
- High things that exalt themselves above the knowledge of God
- Thoughts that have a strong hold on us or anyone. These are the greatest doors of entry into our lives (See Ephesians 4:17-32).
The mind is so central to your behaviour and actions that whatever controls the mind, controls the citadel of your life. Guard your heart with all diligence. I pray that you shall arise and pull down imaginations, high things, and thoughts that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God.
This is the time to receive with meekness the engrafted word, that is able to save your soul. When you know the truth, then and only then can you challenge the faulty foundations with the truth. The truth will help you to challenge your faulty thoughts.
- Remember from where you have fallen
- Repent of lying, of idleness, and of anger and un-forgiveness.
- Renew your mind and
- Resist every evil fiercely
I pray that you will overcome and succeed in pulling down strongholds. Nothing will stop you. This is your season and that time to say no and take charge of life!

Father, I pray that You shall activate Your word and liberate us from faulty thinking. I speak against every stronghold that has such a stronghold on any of us to fall in Jesus’s name. Amen!
