[Psalms 95:1-11] “O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. [2] Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. [3] For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. [4] In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. [5] The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land”.
[6] “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. [7] For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand”.
“To day if ye will hear his voice, [8] Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: [9] When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. [10] Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: [11] Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest”.
Coming to worship and bow before the Lord God our Maker, is a key ingredient in walking into liberty that empowers you for exploits. Those who worship and bow the feet of the Lord receive the divine touch that drives out all devils and liberate them for exploits.
In Mark 5, we read that the man of Gadara who had devils and had been living in the tombs for years saw Jesus Christ and ran and worshipped Him. He ran and worshiped at His feet; that is what began the chain reaction that brought him liberation. There is power in worshipping and worshipping at the feet of Christ Jesus.
[Mark 5:1-20 KJV] “And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. [2] And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, [3] Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: [4] Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. [5] And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones”.
[6] “But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, [7] And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. [8] For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. [9] And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many”.
[10] “And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. [11] Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. [12] And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. [13] And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea”.
[14] “And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. [15] And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. [16] And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine”.
[17] “And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts. [18] And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. [19] Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. [20] And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel”.
Just like how this man saw Jesus Christ afar off and he ran and worshipped Him, your worship will bring you into the presence and realm of power. The man worship and cried, and Jesus touched him. May the Lord touch and liberate you from every power that afflicts you! May you walk into the newness of life!
The realm of liberty
The realm of real liberty, not rebellion or insurgency. You will not need to rebel, you will be liberated. Worship is one of the key things that will liberate the church for exploits.
There is so much power and salvation in worship. The woman from Canaan whose daughter was sick also received mercy when she worshipped.
[Matthew 15:21-28 KJV] “Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. [22] And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. [23] But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. [24] But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel”.
[25] “Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. [26] But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. [27] And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. [28] Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour”.
She came and worshipped at the feet of Christ even after, He called her daughter a dog. When we learn to worship at His feet, He touches us with compassion and grace.
The blind man Jesus healed in the passage below also came to worship at His feet. Worship is part of coming into the presence of God.
[John 9:31-38 KJV] “Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. [32] Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. [33] If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. [34] They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out”.
[35] “Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? [36] He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? [37] And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. [38] And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him”.
Worship is, however, potent to deliver only when we do it in faith. All those who tapped into the miracle-working power through worship came in faith. Faith is the key to release the hand of God in worship.
Let us worship bowing down, and believing. Let your worship be in faith and with humility. Let us bow and worship. God is good and he will feed us with healing and deliverance.
- Let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise unto the God of our Salvation.
- Let us come before Him with thanksgiving, let us make a joyful noise unto Him with a Psalm
- Let us come to worship and bow down, kneeling before the Lord our Maker.
- Let us submit and obey Him, don’t harden your heart as in the day of temptation.
This is because;
- He is the Rock of our Salvation
- He is God, Great and Mighty above all.
- He owns the power of the sea and the strength of the hills.
- He is our God and our Great Helper.
Don Moen was right when he sang as we ¹worship you. He said;
As we worship You, let all the world come and see
How the mercy we received from You can set them free
As we worship You, let all this joy that fills our hearts
Bring a hunger and a hope to those who strayed so far
As we bow in adoration and stand in reverent awe
Show Your majesty and glory, let Your anointing fall
As we declare Your name Lord Jesus as the only name who saves
May the power of Your salvation fill each heart we pray
As we worship You, let all the nations hear our song
Song of Jesus and His blood that proved His love for all
As we worship You, may all the lost and broken come
May they hear Your still small voice call out their names each one
As we worship You, let all the world come and see
How the mercy we received from You can set them free
As we worship You, let all this joy that fills our hearts
Bring a hunger and a hope to those who strayed so far
As we worship You, as we worship You
As we worship You, as we worship You
As we worship You
Praise the Lord! What a beautiful peace of worship to our God. This is a good song of prayer. May our worship draw nations! May our worship tell the story of the goodness of the Lord.
Be blessed, I love you!
