Fulfilling Your Ministry of Reconciliation

[2 Corinthians 5:15-19 KJV] “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. [16] Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more”.

[17] “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. [18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [19] To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation”.

I want to exhort you on the need to fulfil your ministry of reconciliation. Every one of us has been called to do the work of ministry. We may be contributing in different dimensions and capacities, but each of us must be doing the work of reconciling God and His creation.

This is the time and the season to go into the world and preach the word.

You may not have what it takes to reach the world, but if you can reach just one person, to that one person it could mean the world.

You may not be able to fly or conquer hills and valleys to reach a soul, but if all you can do is crawl on your hands and knees to reach just one person, then together we could light up the world, a person at a time.

You may not have the tongue of the learned like Isaiah, the eloquence of Apollo, or the education of Paul, but it does not take Bible School training to share your testimony with friends and family; all you need is an encounter with the power of God.

I don’t know all it takes to be a witness, but I know one thing you cannot do without the power you receive when the Holy Ghost comes upon you. Let us hunger and desire the anointing, connect with the anointing, and ask the Father to give us His Spirit. Wait until you are endued with power from on high, then:

Pray for a soul
Plan, prepare and preach the gospel to the soul
Invite the person to church
Follow up the person till they are established in Christ

These are the four simple keys to fulfilling your ministry of reconciliation. It is time to reach one more with the gospel. It is time to go to the streets and lanes, highways and hedges, to the high and mighty, as well as to the out and down. You will not fail, you must win one more for Jesus Christ.
