[1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV] “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord”.
I want to speak to you today on the need to be unmovable. This is because there are so many tides and torrents trying to sweep you off your feet. There is an enemy out there trying to physically remove you from your place. He is not just interested in shaking your faith but to actually remove you.
As we walk and work with the Lord, there is an enemy and thief who is mainly preoccupied with moving you from your place in the Lord. He is trying all he can to draw you back from your new-found freedom and into captivity. The Apostle Paul is exhorting us to determine not to be moved. We should strive to remain planted in the house of the Lord and to steadfastly walk and work with the Lord.
As a matter of fact, those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the Almighty. The Scriptures say that they shall be like the palm tree and as the cedars of Lebanon; they shall bring forth fruits in their seasons. God will cause those who are planted in His house to prosper. That is the reason for exhorting you to be unmovable, it is your guarantee of prosperity. I believe that you should determine to stay planted and rooted to be fruitful.
So, to be fully planted in the house of the Lord;
Be persuaded in your convictions:
You can remain unmovable when you deepen in your convictions through further listening. You must keep hearing to be fully persuaded in your conviction. The Bible tells us that without developing deep roots, you will wither away very quickly. Many wither away so quickly when the heat builds up because they lack roots. May the Almighty God help you to develop deep roots that can keep you standing even in the day of adversity.
Be connected to the Vine:
The second secret that can help you to be unmovable is to develop stronger ties with the Lord and the fellowship of the brethren. We may all stumble, we may all falter, some may even fall sometimes, but woe is he who falls when he is alone.
Listen a three-fold cord is not easily broken. You, your fellowship, and God make a three-fold cord. You will stand and not be moved when you stay properly connected and rooted. The church is given for reinforcement. The church holds you up when you feel weak and stressed. You will remain unmovable when you stay connected to the church and remain faithful to the fellowship of the Spirit and the fellowship of the brethren.
Hear and do the Word:
The Lord teaches that a man that hears and does His sayings is like a man who built his house on a rock. The storm came and the wind beat upon the house but it stood. None of us can stop the storm from beating, but we can save our houses from falling, by simply committing ourselves to hear and to do the word.
Be unmovable, I love you!
