[Revelation 2:5 KJV] “Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent”.
The final simple prophetic message of our Lord Jesus Christ to the church is the fact that you must overcome to the end. It is not about starting but finishing what you started. You must overcome to the end. You will be able to finish your course when you remember and never ever forget the following;
1. You have been washed from your sins in His own blood:
[Revelation 1:5 KJV] “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,”
When you forget that you have been washed from your sins, the devil begins to afflict you with guilt. Those who forget that they have been washed become unfruitful. (See 2 Peter 1:3-10)
2. Don’t forget what you have been made into:
Rev 1:6 teaches that we have been made kings and priest unto God. You have been called to rule as a king and to serve as a priest.
[Revelation 1:6 KJV] “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
3. Don’t forget that whatever you know at any level of your faith is a partial revelation of all that Christ is:
Though out Revelation 1, the apostle John gave us a total revelation of Jesus Christ, and you notice that the Lord revealed Himself in parts to each church. Don’t box God into your finite understanding of life.
4. Don’t forget that who you were before the Lord met you:
Many of us fail because we forget who we were. We forget that we were small in our own eyes until the Lord lifted us. Saul forgot who he was and fail, but David did not forget. You will succeed when you remember who you were before the Lord lifted you.
5. Don’t forget your first love and first works:
You must run with the same passion and love with which you started this journey. May you keep your fire and passion. You must run and not be tired. You must run with love and focus.
Stay blessed and never ever forget these things if you want to finish and finish well.
I love you!
