I want to enlighten you on the enemy’s most subtle strategy, and that is deception. Most often than not, the people who deceive and manipulate you are not strangers. They are often friends, family, and compatriots.
[Job 6:15 KJV] “My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away;”
I pray that you will be delivered from deception and manipulation. The truth is, deception and manipulation are also two of his most subtle weapons against you. Many have been lured into deadly and captivating deals and covenants, many have lost great virtue and interest because they did not pay attention to truth and reality.
1. The Gibeonites deceived Joshua:
Many years ago, certain men from Gibeon dressed like travellers from a far country and came to deceive and manipulate Joshua into a league of peace. Joshua agreed to the terms because he was deceived. He was deceived by their clothes and old bread into thinking they were travellers from far and did what God did not want him to do. I believe that many of us are unknowingly signing pacts, treaties and leagues with deceivers. I believe with all of my heart that we should not be deceived and manipulated into decisions. I pray that the Lord will open your eyes into the truth when you are dealing with people.
2. Joab hired a widow to deceive and manipulate King David:
Many years ago, Joab engaged a woman to deceive David, but by the grace of God, the King saw through it. In this world things are not the way they seem; without discernment, you will be deceived and manipulated. There are many deceivers and thieves, you must beware.
3. Ammon deceived his father, King David:
Ammon deceived his father, trapped his own sister, Tamar, and raped her. In this life, things are not as they seem. You must have your discernment and discretion, in fact, you must be smart. Deception is real and manipulation is real, I pray that you will escape the drama and deception.
4. Jacob deceived Isaac, his father:
I pray for you that no man can misrepresent facts to you. I pray that you shall know and escape the lies and drama of evil men and women.
5. The old prophet deceived the young prophet who was sent to prophesy at Bethel:
There was an old prophet who deceived a young prophet to disobey God, and the young man was eaten by a lion. I pray that you will not be deceived and manipulated. I pray that you shall escape the traps of old wicked minds.
Without doubt, deception is the most subtle strategy against the believer. He presents false, fake or incomplete facts and makes them look like the truth. He then lures you with this falsified information and leads you to make choices. I pray that you will be delivered from these traps.
