I want to exhort you this morning on the need to take this life seriously. All of us have enemies and family that are moved by envy to dislike us.
[Esther 3:1-8 KJV] “After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him. [2] And all the king’s servants, that were in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.
[3] Then the king’s servants, which were in the king’s gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king’s commandment? [4] Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.
[5] And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath. [6] And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.
[7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar. [8] And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them”.
We read in Acts 7:9-10, that the family of Joseph moved with envy sought him to slavery. Many of us are walking about minding our own business but there are people close and far who dislike us to the bone. There are always people who re seeking to undo and finish us whether we know it or not. There is always someone somewhere pulling strings to finish us and they are not frivolous about it.
We learn in the text above that Heman, being offended with Mordecai, sought an occasion against the Jews to destroy them. He was not frivolous about it. The Bible says he gathered his magicians and sorcerers and cast lots day by day, month by month, from the first to the twelfth month; to see which time was opportune. He was watching and enchanting for twelve months to see the opportune time. He was not joking about it. He wanted to hit and make sure that he hit his target.
Many of us are struggling in life because we are joking with life. We are blinded by the devil from seeing the reality of the battle against our lives. We take life so easy and take a leisure walk through life; whereas the forces against us are engaged in the warfare full-time and full swing. This is the time to awake and take this life seriously. If you joke with this life, you will be shocked.
Whereas witches and wizards don’t sleep all night all week, you sleep all night all year. This is the time and the right time to take the challenge to face life in full swing. We can not sleep anymore.
Do you remember when Apostle was arrested? The Bible says some Jews bound themselves with an oath not to eat nor drink till they have finished Paul.
[Acts 23:21 KJV] “But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee”.
Imagine that, forty men were willing to forgo food until they have killed Paul. Why are you still sleeping? Why are you still so indifferent? Is it that you don’t know this truth or you want to fail?
I believe we are in that time and season to wage war against the wickedness that is in the world is now.
It is time to approach life first from the spiritual dimension, then the social or intelligence perspective.
This is the time to understand that the outcome of life is first determined in the Supernatural realms.
What you don’t know is, there are people who are around you; not because they are friends; they are around because they have not had the opportunity to harm and hurt you. Let us wake up now and take this life more serious.
There are people consulting oracles, visiting shrines and mallams, casting lots, gazing stars, consulting with the dead; all just to hurt you or have an advantage over you. This is the time to invoke the power in;
- The blood of Jesus
- The thunder, lightning, quakes and voices from the altar
- The anointing
- The name of Jesus
- The word of God
Against such wickedness and satanic schemes. I speak over your life that the orchestrations of the wicked and enemies shall fail. You will not be defeated nor harmed. The Lord shall defend you against this extreme wickedness as you awaken from your slumber.
