Nothing just happens!

Nothing Just Happens!

Most often we don’t work for what we have or what comes to us; many good things that we have and receive experience come to us by the mercies and the compassion of the Lord.

[Luke 7:11-17 KJV] “And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. [12] Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. [13] And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.”

[14] “And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. [15] And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. [16] And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people. [17] And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judaea, and throughout all the region round about.”

There are times when we work for what we have. There are times when we believe for it, but there are other times too when the Lord does it for us because He pitied us as a Father would pity His son.

The Scriptures reveal that the man was dead and was being carried to the burial. He was his mother’s only son and she was a widow. The Scriptures reveal that there were many people from the village with her. They had come to sympathize but come not help in the way she needed help. The Bible says the multitude was with her but they could do little to help. They were crying and wailing and sympathising but could in no way help; but when Jesus! When Jesus Christ!! When the son of God!!! Got to the scene the story changed. He interrupted the funeral and changed the narrative.

This reveals that sometimes it is not so much about how many people that are with you; it is mostly about who is with you, what they can do to help, and how willing they are to do it to help you.

Nothing just happens!

I pray that the Lord shall meet you at the point of your need? I pray that the Lord shall meet you right on time and have compassion on you. May you never lack compassion, all year round in the name of Jesus Christ! I see the beginning of a new generation.

The Scriptures revealed that when the Lord saw them, He had compassion and touched the coffin. When He touched the coffin, the men that bear it stopped.

This is a sign of respect, honour and faith.

Many of us are running too fast. We are too full of ourselves thinking we know what we are about. Many will crash and bury their own miracle because they are too proud. These men were not like that. When the Lord touched the coffin they stopped. At least they gave the Lord a chance to speak into their situation. I wonder how they knew that He was a prophet, but they recognised Him.

I pray for you that you will humble yourself and honour messengers sent to you. I pray that you shall escape the pitfalls of pride and too known and arrogance that plagues this generation. I pray that you shall be blessed with the spirit of humility.

We also understand by the text that when the Lord touches the coffin nothing significant happened except that the men that bear it stopped; but a lot changed when He began to speak. The Scriptures say He spoke to the young man that was dead.

Many of us are missing out on the fullness of what God will do because we are more interested in touch me, hold me, bath me, anoint me; rather than speak into my life, speak into my situation, speak the word over me.

If we shall return to that place of the word; if we return to that place of rejoicing at His word over us, many things will change. This is the time and the season to rejoice and celebrate at His word to and over us. The word changes more things than the touch. I pray that each of us will get to that place of valuing the word even above the touch. Receive the word now! In Jesus’ name!

Stay blessed, I love you
