There are three things that we must master if we want to win by faith and grace:
- The flesh:
The flesh is self and sinful nature, cravings, and desires and habits and thought patterns that we have formed over time.
- The world:
By the world, I mean the people, systems, culture and practices. There things in the world that try to challenge our faith. Sometimes, it’s nothing great; just the norms and circumstances.
- The devil:
This refers to the whole system of active darkness. The world is a passive but activated system of darkness, but devils are the influencers. There are demonic spirits that strive to crush you but you have the power and authority to crush them. Fear not.
The Bible tells us that the whole world lies in wickedness. The devil is in league with the world to fight the believer and godliness. I want to teach you simple tips to win over these forces.
If you want to escape this wiles and schemes;
1. Love the truth:
Don’t ever hate the truth or run away from the truth. Only the truth can save you. Those who hate the truth will be deceived by devils. The only thing that liberates and liberates thoroughly is the truth.
[2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 KJV] “Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
2. Be submitted, sober, vigilant, and resilient:
The devils and the world always corrupt with flattery, the only way to win is to be vigilant, sober, resilient and submitted to God and to authority.
[1 Peter 5:8-10 KJV] “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
3. Keep yourself and stay away from idols:
If you keep your clean hands off the devil’s dirty goods, he will keep his filthy hands off your life.
[1 John 5:19-21 KJV] “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.”
4. In overcoming the flesh, don’t resist the flesh, replace:
Don’t try to fight anything, replace them. Don’t fight fear, replace it with love and faith; don’t fight slothfulness, replace them with action.
[Galatians 5:16-18 KJV] “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”
I have no doubt that with these few words you will be equipped to master the flesh, the world, and the devil.
