I want to exhort you today on the new norms and beginnings of new things. The Bible tells us that God will do nothing except He reveals it to His servants the prophet. There is a reason why God will reveal it to His prophets first before He does it later.
[Luke 5:36-39 KJV] “And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved. No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.”
The main reason is God wants to save us from the shock. No man that is used to old wine immediately enjoy new wine. He will surely say that the old is better. God will always want to prepare our minds before He introduces the new thing. I believe God is announcing this new beginning in order to save you from shock. The change will come but will be gradual, although it may seem sudden.
The Lord also knows that many of us hate change. He, therefore, decides to prepare our minds for the change. I believe that Covid-19 may be the announcement of some eminent change that is coming. I believe that something new is about to take place both in our lives and in the world.
The word of God teaches that no man will put new wine into an old wineskin, you will lose both if you do that. New wine is fit for new wineskin. God loves you too much and wants to preserve you. Each one of us must begin to prepare for the new things that are coming upon the earth. To do this, we must adjust our;
- Mindset and thought patterns
- Skills-set and know-how.
- Attitudes and manners
- Outlooks and perspectives
Things may never be the same again. Certain things are past and past for good. This is the time to make structural and attitudinal adjustments to contain the changes that the new norm will bring. Many things are going to remain online, and digital technology is going to continue to control the world for years to come. Nations that stay with the same old way of doing things may remain backward and controlled. Churches and generations must awake to the new order, new norm, and new ways of doing things.
Remember, that the same village quarrels that our mothers used to fight by the village well, markets, and by the streams are now called ‘beef’. This bickering and quarrels are fought on Instagram and Facebook. This is a new dawn and the earlier we awoke the better.
I have come across to you as a prophet to awaken you from every slumber. You must learn how to secure your personal information and valuable data that you’ve shared on the internet just as you would guard any valuable possession. This is a new day and a new dawn, and you cannot remain in the 60s.
Remember that these four things must change; Mindset and thought patterns Skills-set and know-how; Attitudes and manners; and Outlooks and perspectives. I have no doubt in my mind that you will unfreeze, adjust, and re-freeze. May the Lord give you the grace to awake and embrace the new beginning. Remember that you will miss the change and lose yourself if you do not renew.
I love you; stay blessed!
