I want to exhort you this morning that it is time to pray, purpose, plan and organise for Take off. Listen! the Bible tells us that where there is no vision — no revelation of what God is doing, who He is, and what He is saying — the people cast off restraint and everyone does what they want, and get destroyed.
[Proverbs 29:18 KJV] “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
[Proverbs 29:18 AMP] “Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].”
[Proverbs 29:18 NIV] “Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.”
[Proverbs 29:18 MSG] “If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed.”
Every generation of men and women who can survive in this digital and information age must be a generation that knows who God is, what He is saying, and what He is doing. When the people don’t know who God is and what He is doing, they run around trying to fix things, but immediately people get to know what God is saying and adhere to it, they prosper and are healed, Iive with vision and purpose.
We live in a time when many people are speaking lies and deceit in the name of God. We must arise and pray that He will show us the great and mighty things that we know not. (See Jeremiah 33:3)
The Bible teaches that eyes have not seen nor ears heard what God is prepared for those who love Him. We are ignorant of what God is doing and preparing for us. These mysteries are revealed by the Spirit of God that we may know the things that are freely given.
[1 Corinthians 2:9-10 KJV] “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God”.
Prayer is that master key that releases the Spirit to show us these mysteries. In Acts 13, when some teachers and prophets gathered to pray and to minister unto the Lord, the Holy Ghost spoke and showed them the will of God.
One day, the prophet was with his servant in the mountain, and the king sent soldiers to arrest him. His servant was afraid and agitated because he did not have a revelation of who God is and what God was doing. He was anxious and panicking until the prophet prayed for his eyes to be opened to the reality. (See 2 Kings 6).
[2 Kings 6:15-17 KJV] “And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord , I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.“
The truth is, when we pray, God will reveal; but after things are revealed, we must sit down and purpose to follow it, we must plan to execute, and organise for Take-Off.
This is the time to purpose. This is the time to decide that enough is enough. Somethings must change and happen, and this is the time!
This is the time to set goals and plans! This is the time to organise! This is the time to arise, to pray, to plan, and to organise for Take-Off!
Prayer points
#1
Let us start with singing and adoration and thanksgiving. The Lord is good and His mercies endures forever.
#2
Pray that the name of the Lord will be glorified among the nations. Pray that the Lord will stretch forth His hands and heal the sick and set the oppressed free.
#3
Pray that the Lord will keep us from evil. In John 17, the Lord prayed that the father will keep us from evil. There is evil in the world, but we can find refuge in His name. Pray that the Lord will keep us, each of us from evil!
#4
Let us pray that the Lord will open our eyes and enlighten our understanding to know the things which are freely given to us. May the Lord give each of us a revelation of His purpose and His agenda in the coming years. We want to pray for vision. Let us pray for vision and direction and understanding to know what God is doing and saying. Pray that our children will not miss the way. Open our eyes Lord! Open our eyes!
#5
Pray that in the coming years the Lord will deliver us from wicked and unreasonable men. Pray for deliverance from evil men that lie in wait to decieve. Pray! Lift up your voice and pray!
#6
Let us pray that the Lord will sanctify us: spirit, soul and body. Pray this prayer of consecration with faith. The results will be very rewarding. Pray and speak to the Lord! Pray!
#7
Now, tell the Lord that if He does not help us, we have no other helper! Our hope is in the name of the Lord. Pray and submit to God.
Thank God! Begin to thank God!
I love you
