How do you push beyond the odds in your life? In this season of empowerment, I will want to teach you how you can rise above all odds to achieve your dreams. We want to exhort each other on how to maximise your God-given potentials and opportunities inspite of the odds that are against you.
[2 Kings 5:1 KJV] “Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper”
I have no doubt that we are in a new era where men are rising from all walks of life overcoming serious set back to achieve great feats.
The story of Naaman reveals that God can use anyone. Although he was a heathen and a leper, the Lord still used him to bring many deliverance and victory to Syria. The Bible says he was a mighty man of valour but he had leprosy.
So how was Naaman able to push beyond the odds and rise to such a high level to achieve such feats.
I believe many of us are living under such circumstances, we have great potential but are unable to push beyond the status quo because of the odds that are against us.
Some of us have to push beyond skin tone, accent, nationality, race, even communities. Some of us are limited because of where we grew up and the kind of exposure we have or don’t have.
How to push beyond the odds
If you want to push beyond the odds then the following will help you;
1. Don’t sweep your pitfalls under the carpet. Acknowledge that you have a problem that must be fixed.
2. Don’t focus on the problem, instead, work on your strengths.
3. Rely on the strength of the Lord; God can use any man. God can use you inspite of your flaws and limitations but don’t settle there.
Get help whenever it is possible. When he was told about the prophet in samaria; he did not hesitate to get help. But as you go, humble yourself.
Sometimes when someone is helping you solve a problem like leprosy, you may feel very insulted by their actions. The prophet did not come out to see Naaman, and he felt very insulted. But the prophet was only acting as directed.
Finally!
I want to say “don’t limit yourself.” Don’t allow any thing in your life to limit you. When you push, you will win. You will not drown, God will keep and bless you. I see you coming out and winning without fail.
I love you
