Today, I want to exhort you on what happens when we don’t serve the Lord with gladness.
[Deuteronomy 28:47-48 KJV] “Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee”
I have already taught that three pillars govern the conduct of our mission: gathering, mobilization, and deployment of resources to the purpose of missions.
If we can serve the Lord with gladness, there are important protocols that must govern our conduct and behaviour. These are important protocols that will open heaven over us.
- Know that He is God; He is both our maker, our owner, and shepherd. (See Psalm 100)
- Be persuaded that the Lord is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (See Hebrews 11:6)
- Remember the Lord can never forget your labour of love. (See Hebrews 6:9-11)
- If you don’t serve the Lord with gladness after enjoying His benefits, you will serve your enemies. (See Deut 28:47-48)
- The Lord is faithful and will keep faith and prosper and defend you
[Job 22:23-30 KJV] “If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.”
“Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.”
“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.”
Stay blessed, I love you!
