There is no better cause of perversion than mistaken identity and lack of purpose. The people who do not know who they are can easily be misled and manipulated. It is important to remind you of who you are so that you will not fall for any sham or manipulation.
You are God’s building, His husbandry. You belong to God and not to any man.
[1 Corinthians 3:9 KJV] “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.”
I believe it is important to understand that you are God’s building and husbandry. He is building you up and the gates of hell cannot prevail against you. I do not doubt that you are the people of God. You belong to a flock and are part of a house, a great house.
We must, therefore, be careful that no man drives us into unnecessary factions and carnality. We are the people of God, called and separated for the work of missions. You must remember that you are called to be the following;
- Separated — You are unique and belong to the family of God. You have no fellowship and alliance with the kingdom of darkness. You must come out from among them.
- A spiritual house to offer spiritual sacrifices and to show forth the praises of God — You are a royal priesthood and must function as such.
- The habitation of God — He dwells in you by His spirit. Remember that the Lord will destroy anyone who destroys His house.
- The light of the word and the salt of the earth — You are called to illuminate and preserve the world and the earth. You are a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden.
- His workmanship created in Christ Jesus to walk in works prepared for you before the foundations of the earth — You are called to service, let us arise and service.
God has great abs for us. He called each of us with a purpose. I exhort you to live up to expectations.
