[Luke 11:17-26 KJV] “But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against an house falleth. If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.
And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: but when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”
The Scriptures teaches that the whole world lies in wickedness. Everything and everyone, except those who have been redeemed and bought by the blood of the Lord is in captivity and under the control of the wicked one.
The devil is that strong man that is armed and keeping his goods. His goods and captives will remain intact until we overpower and disarm him.
That is why the first step towards effective soul-winning is prayer; you cannot divide the goods of an armed man until you have overpowered and disarmed him. This is the time to arise and pray for the community and nations if we want to win some for Christ.
This is the time to disarm the strongman and divide his goods as spoil. Let us arise and pray that God shall draw all men to Himself. Pray that anything holding the people back from serving God shall be removed. Pray that many people shall be called by God to enthrone the vision.
Effective soul-winning begins from facing the demonic strongholds in pray and disarming every strong man. The church must pray and trust God to deal with every satanic power. This is the time to pray and subdue the powers of darkness. Aside from praying, however, the church, in the next season, is focusing more on publishing the message of the gospel through;
- Television
- Radio
- Internet
- Literature
- Crusades and mass outreaches
- Special meetings like concerts and conferences
- Personal witness to the place you live, work and play. This is the time to publish your testimony to the circle around you.
I pray that you shall arise to support these ministries. This is the time to both give financially to support and to spread the word. Remember, that whosoever is not gathering with the Lord is scattering what the Lord is building. This is the time to get involved and build the kingdom. This is the time to put all hands on deck.
Prayer points
- Lift up your voice and begin to thank God for His grace and mercies for the day. There are new mercies and compassion every day. Yesterday’s grace is not sufficient for today’s. We need fresh mercies for today.
- Pray that the Lord, our rock shall force their rock to give them up. We bind every strongman, we disarm every strongman, we overpower every strongman and we lose the people in captivity.
- Pray that the Lord shall empower and bless us to be able to gather with Him. Pray for the Lord to sharpen our skills and open greater financial doors for us to step into the treasure reserved for us. Receive power to gather with the Lord.
- Pray for the release and liberation of every soul from captivity. Pray for your family and loved ones to be released from captivity in the name of Jesus!
- Pray that the Lord shall deliver us from wicked and unreasonable men. Pray that you will be wise as serpents and brave as lions in the mission field.
- Pray that the Lord shall release funds and resources to finance the operations and missions of the church. Pray for the release of funds and resources for television, radio, Internet streams, literature, and Crusades. Pray that God will open doors for us to be able to support this great work for kingdom advancement.
- Pray that God will give us speed in the mission field. Pray for speed! Pray for power! Pray for light! Pray that God will be with us. Pray that God will confirm the message with signs following.
