[Ephesians 6:10-19 KJV] “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,“
In John 10:9-10, the Scriptures teach that the thief comes not but to steal, to kill, and to destroy; but Jesus has come that we may have and abound with life. Once you have believed, you can only hope for the best but prepare for the worst. This is exactly what Apostle Paul is teaching in this text.
He is teaching that it’s alright that you believe, you read your Bible and pray every day, you attend the services and fellowship, you give your offerings and serve in the church and missions; it is alright! We will not make any more demands on you but remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood; we wrestle against principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. The truth is we are up against something deep; hence the need to arm ourselves for the worst; for that evil day.
If we want to win and be victorious even in the evil day, then;
- Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might
- Put on the whole armour of God
- Take a stand to withstand
- Pray with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, watching with supplication and perseverance for all the saints.
- Pray for us that a door of utterance shall be opened unto us
This is exactly how to be prepared and armed for the worst or evil day. May you never be taken by surprise in the name of Jesus Christ!
- Lift your voice and bless the name of the Lord. Pray and worship the most high God and the Father of light. Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name!
- Pray that the Lord shall strengthen you with might in the inner man. Pray that the Holy Ghost will build up your spirit man. Pray in the Holy Ghost! Edify yourself! Pray!
- Pray that you shall be clothed upon by Christ! Pray that the Lord will crown you with salvation, buckle you with truth, and defend you with righteousness! May the word of God dwell in you richly! Pray that your faith shall be strengthened! Pray to be clothed upon by grace!
- Pray that you can make up your mind to stand and not fail even in an evil day. Pray that God will establish and guard your hearts and minds in Jesus’ name!
- Lift up your voice and pray for other believers. Pray for the church that God will preserve us! Pray and let God defend His church.
- Finally, pray for me; that God will open unto me a door of utterance and grace to continue preaching the truth!
- Thank God for an answered prayer!
