[Hebrews 4:1 KJV] “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.“
God is making room for us and will step in the blessing of the Lord. We are however warned to be careful, lest we fall short of entering into the blessings.
- Don’t sell your birthright; don’t trade your birthright for a morsel of bread. Don’t be profane!
- Don’t dishonour your father. The three sons of Jacob who he did not bless, were those who dishonoured him: Reuben, Simeon, and Levi.
- Don’t love the change of clothes and Naaman’s wealth. Esteem the anointing more than the money.
- Sow your seed. Offer the meal that gladdens your father’s heart. Jacob brought Isaac the stew that satisfied his soul.
