[Matthew 11:28-30 KJV] “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.“
One of the most important things that this generation needs in this life more than anything else is rest. Many of us are running and jumping around; jumping from one bed to the other; running from one place to the other; yet we re carrying our heavy burdens and can’t find rest.
Indeed, I have no doubt that you cannot find rest because we have forsaken the one thing we can do to find rest from all our burdens and that is to learn of Christ! If any man can come, commit, and learn of Christ; that same man or woman will find rest. There is rest for the wanderer! You must return home. You must of a necessity learn of Christ as soon as is possible.
Your lust, ignorance, and greed will only lead to more futile pursuits but a commitment to learn of Christ is the master key to rest. I encourage you to make that decision this morning that you will learn of Christ. No one has so far regretted trying. All come back to testify that they found rest when they committed themselves to learn of the Master.
Prayer target
- Father thank you for speaking to my heart and giving me rest. I pray that I find and possess this rest I am reading about.
- I pray that you shall give me the grace and gifts to learn of you. Help me to walk with you as you would have me. Help me to be faithful.
- I decree failure upon any spirit or circumstances that is trying to keep me down. I have the victory and I thank You.
