I want to speak to you today on the theme, the big catch! The Apostle Peter moved from Despair to offer his space for kingdom advancement; he honoured and obeyed his pastor, them bam, there was the Big catch.
When you learn to return to honour and worship after a big catch, you will step into a real ministry.
[Luke 5:4-11 KJV] “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.”
“And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.”
“When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: and so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon.”
“And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.”
The story we just read tells us about how the Lord helped Peter to catch an overflow of fishes. You can have the same experience if you engage with the same power.
Your life can transform from toiling a whole night without catching a thing to obeying a word and stepping into abundance. There is a word coming to your now that will change your life for the better. This is your season and time.
the big catch
I will share three key things that we understand from this Scripture:
- If you can give the Lord your spare time for kingdom advancement, the Lord will give you a big catch, a breakthrough, a supernatural experiment!
- If you can return to worship after the big catch, the Lord will deal with the rest of your fears and give you direction for the next level
If we really want the big catch, then;
- Attend the meetings
- Honour your pastor
- Leave everything, come and worship
- Receive further instructions
