What is man’s greatest concern? Today, I want to discuss the subject of what we are all looking for. I know message will bless you, so let’s get right into the Word;
[Matthew 6:31-34 KJV] “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.“
Listen, the answer and solution to man’s greatest concern is to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
The greatest concern of man
What is the greatest concern of man? Security!
Honestly many people don’t even know why they do what they do; but the greatest concern of man is security.
We have all heard about the 4S or 5S: Survival, Sufficiency, Success, and Significance; all these hang on one thing: Sustainance (Security).
I want to find a job, but when I find a job; I want job security! I want food, when I find food; my concern is will this food come everyday? Man’s quest for security drives his actions, choices, and behaviour. We all seek security and sustainance. That is why nations talk about sustainable development. Governments all over the world are now talking about food security, sustainable development, cyber security, national security; security is key to the quest of nations.
The simple secret to find security is to seek the kingdom and the righteousness of God!
The Bible assures that God will add what the nations seek to those who seek His kingdom and righteousness. When we learn to seek the kingdom and righteousness of God, He will add all things to us.
The Bible teaches clearly that our conversation or lifestyle should be;
- Without covetousness but
- Content with such as we have
- Follow the faith of those who bear rule and have spoken the word of God to us.
[Hebrews 13:5-7 KJV] “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
“So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear What man shall do unto me. Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.“
Let us seek the kingdom and the righteousness of God and all things shall be sorted out.Bless you!
