We want to take a look at how to activate the prophetic anointing to your advantage, so let’s start from the first Book of Corinthians;
[1 Corinthians 14:32 KJV] “And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.“
The same God who called and equipped men to serve gave the prophet three different anointings
- The Indwelling spirit
- The upon-spirit (the anointing for ministry)
- The spirits of the prophets
That is why Elisha still asked for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit.
[2 Kings 2:9-10 KJV] “And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee.”
“And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.“
The prophetic anointing
God gave every prophet an anointing to bless and help people; but there is a mystery that helps you to draw this anointing to help you in the supernatural.
Though Jesus was anointed without measure He could not do many mighty works in His home town.
[Mark 6:2-6 KJV] “And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?”
“Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.”
“And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.“
The simple secrets to draw the prophetic unction to work for you is to;
- Honour the prophet
- Believe his word (deal with all familiarity, don’t know him after the flesh)
- Recieve him as a prophet
- Give him offerings and seeds befitting a prophet
- Create an atmosphere of music and worship
[Matthew 10:41 KJV] “He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous mn shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

Lord Jesus Christ,
Here I am again…
asking You to do what only You can do,
in my life and in my current situation.
The Word of God tells me that You are the same
yesterday, today, and forever.
Nothing is too small for You, no prayer too big;
You are, after all, the Lord Who performs miracles!
Lord, I humbly come before you to ask
that You would do a miracle in me…
I also ask, Lord, that You would
heal me through and through–
help me in my relationships;
help me with my finances;
assist me in my decisions.
Close the wrong doors;
and open all the right ones.
Protect me from all evil.
Deliver me, Lord, from my tendency
to worry and to be anxious as I wait on You.
Show me today how You will fight for me.
And if it is Your will, Lord, show me
Your miracle-working ways.
I humbly ask also for a vision, Lord.
A vision for what a healthy-healed me looks like.
Help me to go after the goal, Your will,
With tenacity and purpose.
Take my weakened efforts and multiply them, Jesus.
My soul eagerly awaits for You…
to do what only You can do.
