[Romans 12:1-8 KJV] “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering:”
“or he that teacheth, on teaching; or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.“
God gives us great gifts by which we serve our generation. There is a ministry and a calling that we must each honour; and if you really want to serve with your gift, then you must do the following;
You must present yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God:
Ministry is a sacrifice; and until you are willing to make the sacrifice, you will lose out. We must be willing to offer the sacrifice of ourselves. You must be willing and ready!
You must be transformed by the renewing of your mind; and not conform to this world:
A great minister is one who does not conform to the world but is transformed by the renewing of the mind. You must be willing to be seperated.
You must think soberly according to the grace given you; not too highly of yourself:
There is a temptation to be puffed up because of your gifts. Some of the gifts are beautiful and attractive; but you must continue to think soberly.
You must see yourself as a member of others:
We belong to each other; we are members one of another. You serve me while I serve you.
You must serve for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Your gifts must build and edify the body. You must serve decently and orderly. That is how you serve.
Stay bless
